This is one of the best gay bars I've been to. In the afternoon it is not only a good place to have lunch but a place to meet your friends. At night, the only problem I encountered is that the music is a too loud, making a conversation difficult. Otherwise it is an excellent place.

Alibi is an interesting place to visit. Since it is in the Gay Village of Wilton Manors (A suburb of Ft Lauderdale)you will find a great deal of tourists visiting the area so the club always has a transient feel. The highlight of the week at Alibi is Thursday night when you can get a $3 Long Island Ice Tea which is made on the heavy side so, it doesn't take long to get lit off that drink. Thursdays are also hot with the video bar, the outside patio which also doubles as a nice eatery with a good menu. There are a good number of men to check out on Thursday - all ethnicities. I mean, even bruthas hit Alibi's before heading down to Miami to chill ut on South Beach. Alibi also is the place to hang out before heading across the parking lot to Club BOOM which is a dance bar. Alibi (also called 'Georgies') is clean, well lit, and has a more mature and professional crowd (late 20's and up). They have excellent security however, parking can be a major headache especially on Thursday nights. You need ot be careful and not park in designated tow zones that are located outside the parking area. You WILL be towed and here in South Florida - it AINT cheap! Plan on arriving by 9 or 10 pm and staying in the area for a while. There are about four bars in the immediate area that you can walk to (Alibi, Boom, Sidelines and Bill's Filling Station). Great bar to hang out with friends. Friendly staff. Very, very cruisy. I always feel a little like roadkill with the buzzards circlin the carcass. Thursday nights are packed nut to butt and if your lookin to hook-up, the 5th Long Island Ice Teas is guarenteed to transform every guy in the bar into Brad Pitt.
Great bar, huge crowds.... just not my cup of .... well, long island ice tea!

Great place, especially since it became non-smoking. Parking is usually a problem though.
